Selection Process: | The IBPS PO recruitment process is a three-tiered Common Recruitment Process (CRP) consisting of a Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and a Personal Interview. Final selection is strictly merit-based, determined by a weighted score ratio of 80:20 from your Main Exam and Interview performance. A detailed breakdown of the selection phases includes: 1. Preliminary Examination (Qualifying) Duration: 1 hour (20 minutes per section). Total Marks: 100. Result: This round simply acts as a screening step. Marks do not count toward the final merit list. 2. Main Examination & Personality Test Format: Online objective (MCQs) and descriptive test (essay and letter writing). Total Marks: Objective is 200 marks, Descriptive is 25 marks. Duration: 3 hours and 30 minutes. Sections Evaluated: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. Personality Test: A mandatory self-report psychometric test is required for all candidates who clear the Mains. 3. Interview Total Marks: 100 marks (minimum qualifying score is 40% for General, and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). 4. Final Selection & Provisional Allotment Provisional Allotment: Based strictly on the consolidated merit list and bank preferences, candidates are provisionally allotted to one of the participating public sector banks. | |
