TGPSC Seed Certification Officer Recruitment 2026 has been announced by the Telangana Public Service Commission through Notification No. 03/OG/SD/2026, dated 2 July 2026, inviting online applications for 19 vacancies in the Telangana Seed & Organic Certification Authority. Eligible candidates holding a basic degree in Agriculture along with a postgraduate M.Sc.(Ag.) in Seed Technology, Plant Breeding, Agronomy or Plant Physiology from an ICAR-recognized university can apply online at tgpsc.gov.in from 7 July 2026 to 12 August 2026 (5:00 PM). A total of 19 vacancies have been notified for the post of Seed Certification Officer, State Level cadre, under the Telangana Seed & Organic Certification Authority.

Eligibility Criteria for TGPSC Seed Certification Officer

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • The applicant’s character and antecedents must qualify him/her for government service.
  • The applicant must possess the academic and other qualifications prescribed for the post as on the date of notification, i.e., 02/07/2026.

Educational Qualification

Degrees obtained through Open Universities or Distance Education mode must be recognized by the UGC, AICTE, or Distance Education Bureau, as applicable. The result of the qualifying examination must have been officially declared by the university as on the notification date; mere conduct of the exam or pending result processing does not fulfil the qualification requirement.

Age Limit

Age is reckoned as on 01/07/2026.

As per G.O.Ms.No.86, G.A.(Ser.A) Department, dated 18/05/2026, the upper age limit has been raised by 10 years, i.e., from 34 to 44 years, for this post.

Age Relaxation

  • SC / ST / BC / EWS candidates: 5 years relaxation
  • Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates: 10 years relaxation
  • Telangana State Government Employees: Up to 5 years, based on length of regular service
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years plus length of service in armed forces
  • NCC Instructors: 3 years plus length of NCC service

No candidate is eligible if he/she is below 18 years or has crossed the superannuation age of 61 years, even after availing applicable age relaxations.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected candidates for the post of Seed Certification Officer will draw a pay scale of Rs. 51,320 – Rs. 1,27,310/- per month, as per Telangana State Government pay rules.

Application Fee

  • All unemployed applicants are exempted from paying the examination fee.
  • Employees of any Central/State Government, PSU, Corporation, or other government sector must pay the examination fee.
  • Fee must be paid online via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
  • Fee once remitted is non-refundable and non-adjustable under any circumstances.

Selection Process

Selection to the post of Seed Certification Officer is made purely on the basis of marks secured in a single Objective Type written examination, conducted either in OMR-based offline mode or Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) mode.

Paper I is bilingual (English and Telugu), while Paper II is in English only. Paper II covers General Agriculture, Agronomy, Plant Breeding, Seed Science & Technology, and Plant Physiology at postgraduate level.

Qualifying Marks

  • OC, Sportspersons & EWS: not less than 40%
  • BCs: not less than 35%
  • SC, ST & PH: not less than 30%

Scores from multi-session CBRT exams are normalized using TGPSC’s standard normalization formula, and the final merit list is prepared based on normalized marks calculated up to 5 decimal places.

  1. Visit the official TGPSC website at tgpsc.gov.in.
  2. New applicants must complete One Time Registration (OTR) to obtain a TGPSC ID; already registered applicants can log in directly using their existing TGPSC ID.
  3. Log in with your TGPSC ID and Date of Birth, and verify using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  4. Verify the pre-filled details fetched from the OTR database, such as name, date of birth, qualifications, community, gender, and disability status.
  5. Select your preferred examination centre.
  6. Preview the application for correctness, then click SAVE & PAYMENT to proceed to fee payment.
