Seed Certification Officer Vacancy Details

The Telangana Public Service Commission has announced 19 vacancies for the position of Seed Certification Officer under the Telangana Seed & Organic Certification Authority. These positions are categorized under the State Level cadre.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be citizens of India and possess the required academic qualifications as of 2 July 2026. Candidates must hold a basic degree in Agriculture followed by a postgraduate M.Sc.(Ag.) degree in Seed Technology, Plant Breeding, Agronomy, or Plant Physiology from a university recognized by the ICAR. Degrees obtained via distance education must be recognized by the UGC, AICTE, or Distance Education Bureau.

Age Limit & Relaxation

The age limit for all applicants is 18 to 44 years, reckoned as of 1 July 2026. Age relaxations are provided as follows:

• SC/ST/BC/EWS: 5 years
• Physically Handicapped (PH): 10 years
• Telangana State Government Employees: Up to 5 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years plus length of service
• NCC Instructors: 3 years plus length of service

Application Fee

• OC/BC: Rs. 1,000/- (Processing Fee) + Rs. 80/- (Examination Fee)
• SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 500/- (Processing Fee) + Rs. 80/- (Examination Fee)
  Note: Unemployed applicants are exempted from the examination fee.

Salary & Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 51,320 – Rs. 1,27,310/- per month, in accordance with the Telangana State Government pay rules.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of a single objective-type written examination (OMR-based or CBRT). The exam comprises two papers:

• Paper I: General Studies and General Abilities (150 marks, 150 questions)
• Paper II: Subject Concerned (150 marks, 150 questions)
