Only women candidates are eligible to apply. UP Varanasi Anganwadi Karyakartri Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Additional eligibility conditions:
- Merit will be prepared by adding the marks obtained from Intermediate up to Postgraduate level (higher qualifications add to the merit score).
- Domicile and caste certificates will be accepted only if issued online through the Tehsil with digital signature and are verifiable online.
- Income certificates will be accepted only if issued by a competent authority as per UP Government Revenue Section-9 order No. 3959/1-9-11-Raj0-9 dated September 30, 2021 (as amended), and must be verifiable online. The prescribed annual poverty-line income limit is ₹46,080 for rural areas and ₹56,460 for urban areas.
- Widowed applicants must submit a death certificate and family register copy issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer or the concerned Municipal Body.
- Divorced/deserted applicants must submit a valid order issued by a competent court.
- Reservation for SC, ST, and OBC categories will be applied as per the applicable government orders governing Anganwadi Karyakartri recruitment.

- Anganwadi Karyakartri: Honorarium of ₹4,500 per month, plus an additional honorarium of ₹1,500 per month currently admissible.
The post of Anganwadi Karyakartri is purely temporary and honorarium-based. The Uttar Pradesh State Employee Service Rules do not apply to this post, and engagement may be terminated at any time as per government directions.
